Contraindications to Dermaplaning
- Botox or fillers (wait 1 week after injection)
- RetinA
- chemical peel (wait 14 days)
- laser treatment (wait 14 days)
- IPL (intense pulsed light) (wait 10+ days)
- prone to post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (pre and post treatment 2 weeks prior to and following with appropriate care)
- diabetes (must be under control)
- cancer
- accutane or isotretinion
- blood thinners/history of bleeding problems
- high dosages use of aspirin
- acne (full face of breakouts)
- cystic acne
- cold sores
- sunburn/windburned
